Science-Geeky Goodness

I have never really "understood" art; music doesn't move me the way I know it should. It's all too abstract for me. But when a scientific finding like this one comes out, I suddenly think to myself, "This is what artists and musicians mean when they say that you either get it, or you don't."

To me, this sort of finding is simply...beautiful. On so many levels. I can't explain it except to say that when I read this report, I grinned. It makes perfect, elegant sense. Bravo.

Right there with you on the science geeky scale. I thought this was cool when I read it last week. Being appendix-less, I was relieved to read that it is probably not important here in the States. I think science, especially biology, is endlessy fascinating. But then I am a science geek from way back.

I knew it! Next they'll figure out that tonsils are useful!

This sentence cracked me up: "The appendix's job is to reboot the digestive system in that case." I'm a language geek, and love how the lexicon evolves.

Totally with you on this one!

You're such a nerd.

And tonsils are part of the immune system... that's why I don't have any ;)

TC is not a nerd! She is a geek (as am I).

There *is* a difference! :D
